Privacy Policy

Window isn't a data company. This policy explains plainly what's collected, why, and who it's shared with. No legal jargon designed to obscure what's actually happening.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Account info: your name, email address, and a hashed password (we never see or store your actual password, it's one-way encrypted)
• Google sign-in info: if you use "Continue with Google," we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We never see your Google password.
• Profile info you provide: country, language, skills, interests, and goals from onboarding, used only to personalise your feed
• Usage data: which windows you view, save, or complete, and your daily streak, used to power your saved list and progress tracking
• Payment info: if you upgrade to Premium, your payment is processed directly by Paystack. We never see or store your card number, we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded

How we use it

Your data is used to run the product you signed up for: building your personalised feed, tracking saved windows and roadmap progress, sending the emails you've opted into, and processing Premium subscriptions. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not build advertising profiles beyond what Google AdSense does on its own (see below).

We do not sell your data

We have never sold, rented, or traded user data to third parties, and we don't intend to. If this ever changed, it would require an update to this policy and a clear notice, not a silent change.

Who we share data with

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Window. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

• Paystack, processes Premium payments
• Google, powers Google Sign-In, if you choose to use it
• Google AdSense, shows ads to free-plan users. AdSense may use cookies to personalise ads based on your browsing. You can control this through Google's Ad Settings. Premium users see no ads and are not served AdSense cookies.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage (not traditional cookies) to keep you logged in between visits. This stays on your device and is cleared if you log out or clear your browser data. Free-plan users will also encounter AdSense cookies as described above.

Your choices

• Turn off any email notification type individually from your profile settings
• Update your profile info, country, skills, or goals at any time
• Delete your account entirely from Profile → Danger Zone, this permanently removes your account and saved windows

Children's privacy

Window is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is used, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
